about hemp fiber . . .

Hemp is a durable, versatile natural fiber similar to flax (linen).
Hemp can be grown without pesticides, fungicides or herbicides,
uses little water and enriches the soil.
It is (naturally) UV light resistant so it is less likely to fade.
Like linen, hemp is breathable. Consequently, fabrics made of hemp fiber
are excellent for drapery, upholstery, and bedding applications for the home.
